Transparence 2017 is open to undergraduate students of Architecture and Design. Those who are considered students at the time of registration are eligible to participate. Competition Format

  • Transparence 2017 is open to undergraduate students of architecture and design.
  • Teams to comprise of a maximum of three members.
  • This will be a two-stage competition -
    First stage: Regional juries – North, South, East and West.
    Second stage: Grand Finale.
  • The venue for the first stage of regional juries will be communicated to all the participants. There will be no presentations by the teams at the regional juries. However, the teams will get an opportunity to hear the jury comments and interact with them.

Submission Format

  • A maximum of twelve A3 sheets or five A2 sheets with a readable scale of drawing can be submitted.
  • The word limit on the A3/A2 sheets to not exceed 100-150 words per sheet.
  • All entries to be accompanied by soft copies. The presentation to be not more than 20 slides in a PowerPoint format and compatible with MS Office 2007.
  • Hard copy: Names and team details to be written only on the rear side of the sheets in a size not larger than 2” X 5” and only on the first/ last slide of the PowerPoint presentation.
  • Soft copy: Names and other team details to be written on a separate sheet in the beginning, before the PowerPoint presentation. This will be an additional sheet and will not be included in the allotted 20 sheets.
  • Entries with names written on the soft copy and/or hard copy (other than what is mentioned earlier) will be subject to disqualification.

Evaluation Criteria

The competing entries will be evaluated basis:

  • Concept and clearly stated design intent
  • Originality
  • Context- Micro and Macro level
  • Area program
  • Sustainable practices incorporated in the design process
  • Clarity of translation from concept to design
  • Presentation
